Description

Erica Calardo is a classically trained and inclined Italian artist, who grew up in Italian museums, but in this painting, we see her beginning to contemplate the enormous change that is currently rushing towards us. From the context, we can only assume that Erica has a non-positive view of the future with AI. The partially revealed view shared by the figure is an apocalyptic one, while the seeming takeover of her body appears also more like a disease than a positive symbiosis. While classical in appearance, we enjoyed seeing the beginnings of a discussion of contemporary issues contained within that framework.
