My biomorphic abstracts are part of a series I began during the pandemic to provide some comic relief needed during this rather grim and isolating timeframe. During this period many of the titles were whimsical and utilized puns to hopefully elicit a chuckle. Since the pandemic I evolved this series to include works that are structured to elicit a sense of calm and/or speculation more than whimsy yet they still retain the lyrical marks. This artwork is derived from my love and fascination with nature, both physical and metaphysical, and is honed until it projects my visual as well as unspoken language.
